One of my favorite reminders of that happened while my daughter-in-law was on vacation recently.
She spotted someone reading one of my books on the beach and asked if she could take a picture. The woman graciously said yes. How amazing is that? Moments like this stop me in my tracks.
Every book begins the same way—with an idea that refuses to leave me alone. The months Matt and I spend with these characters, watching them grow from scattered notes into a story we can’t wait to share. But eventually, the story leaves my hands and starts a life of its own.
