Excellent read as always
Nina and Claire are trying to find a link between multiple murders that seem unrelated. As they dig deeper, they realize that the men being murdered were all involved in a violent rape decades ago. The victim of the rape is no longer alive so who could be out for justice? And although these men escaped justice long ago, who has taken up the mantle of vigilante justice and why wait so long?
Suicides or murders
Following Claire and Nina on their way to track the vigilante murderer was tense and great experience. I enjoyed the look into their private lives and the unexpected twists. I felt for the vigilante’s reasons and my heart hurt, but I was glad how the book ended. It made me think, (well no surprise here as Mary always addresses the social or moral issues next to the unique plot) and I had to finish the book in just two sitting. Great pace and thrilling.
